A Range Of Techniques To Suit Your Specific Condition
We offer a wide range of techniques to suit a patient’s problem and condition and, where necessary, we discuss options with patients to find out which will suit them best.
Activator
This technique utilizes an instrument called an activator which gives consistent low-force, high-speed chiropractic adjustments rather than directly by hand The Activator instrument is specifically designed to deliver this controlled, light and fast thrust without undue strain to the patient. The thrust delivered by the instrument is so quick that it accelerates ahead of the body's tendency to tighten up and resist the thrust of an adjustment. Adjustments using the activator are suitable and comfortable for all types of patients, including pregnant women, babies and children, as well as athletes and the elderly. It is commonly used in conjunction with other techniques... read more»
Diversified
This is the most widely practised technique and involves physical adjustment of the joints to improve range of motion and reduce nerve irritation. The quick light thrusts involved sometimes produce a click or pop, and this is entirely safe and painless. Patients generally find this produces rapid changes in flexibility and early pain reduction... read more»
Sacro-Occipital Technique
This is a more generalised “tonal” technique for the whole body. It does not involve the “adjustments” of the joints but concentrates on the balance of the body. In particular the relationship, and balance of, the pelvis (sacrum) and skull (occiput). It’s especially well suited to the frail and elderly and involves wedge shaped blocks which the patient lays on to align the pelvis... read more»
Applied Kinesiology(A.K.)
This is an adjunct of other techniques and involves balancing the body’s muscle tone. Alterations to the “tone” or “strength” of the muscle can be made by stimulation of specific trigger points. This can also involve working on the bones of the skull – Cranial corrections... read more»
Neuro-emotional technique (N.E.T.)
Related in part to AK, this involves using muscle testing to help uncover hidden links between events and symptoms. It’s systems of adjustments help to resolve issues and thereby dissolve the effects they have on our subconscious and our health... read more»
KST
This, like activator, uses an instrument to carry out the adjustments. In this case the thrusts are multiple, rather like a vibration, which introduce forces into the body to correct the subluxations. Like activator it does this without the “popping” or “cracking” of other techniques.
