Your Second Visit and Third Visit
Your second visit is called the 'Report of Findings' and this lasts approximately 15 minutes. We will have already studied your health history and correlated your examination findings and, at this visit, we will explain what we have found along with our diagnosis.
Together, we will discuss your findings in detail along with your proposed schedule of care. It is important to work in partnership to improve your health, so we encourage your questions and make sure you are comfortable with everything before we go ahead with chiropractic care.
Your second visit is when you can usually expect your first adjustment. Your schedule of care, which is unique to each individual, will depend on various factors such as your age, your history, your current physical condition and stress levels. For example, an older person may have to be checked twice a week for the six to eight weeks, whereas a child may be checked once a week initially. We carry out re-exams, approximately every twelve visits, to measure your progress and, at this time, we may adjust your care plan and your schedule if appropriate.
Your Early Care Appointment, a dynamic presentation lasting approximately 45 minutes, is designed to increase your understanding of chiropractic and what you can expect from your care. We also explain the true nature of health and where health really comes from. You will begin to appreciate the true scope of chiropractic. You may already be aware how effective it is with back and neck pain but do you know how chiropractic can help you achieve and maintain the very best of health? Our presentations are held on Tuesday evenings at 7.15pm and on the third Wednesday lunchtime of every month at 1.00pm. We encourage you to bring along your spouse or partner or any other family members. They will then understand how best to support you.
On your third visit, one of our staff will go through our 'Office Policy' with you. This information will give you an idea of how we work; what you can expect of us and what you can do to get the best out of your care. You can then relax, knowing that we are doing all we can to look after you.
