' 5km Race for Life'

5km Race for LifeLouanne took part once again in this year's Cancer Research UK's Race for Life at the Norfolk Showground, with over 11,000 women participating in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK's live saving work. She and a friend successfully finished the course of 5km, raising a sum of nearly £400. Louanne confided that she nearly didn't make it on time due to being stuck in traffic. "I know I should have warmed up but I really didn't have time because I was late. I just had to get going and hope for the best", she said. "Needless to say, I could hardly walk the next day!" Well done, Louanne, you did very well! Twice round next year?

Internationally renowned nutritionist and author of two best selling books, Cyndi O'Meara, spoke to patients at our centre on Monday 23rd March 2009!

Cyndi O'MearaCyndi, who is a fabulous speaker and in high demand both in Australia and internationally, gave a dynamic and knowledgeable talk about good healthy food versus unhealthy food. Her no nonsense approach dispelled many myths that tend to permeate society's thinking, such as milk is good for you and all fluid, be it coffee, tea, diet coke or even alcohol is fine. She talked about junk foods and packet foods versus natural foods and inspired us to eat food as nature intended - fresh and natural. A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all, showing that you can learn and have fun at the same time!"

All Change!

If you've been into the Centre recently, you may have noticed a few staff changes.

Joanne, our full- time CA, has recently left us to return to Manchester. She thoroughly enjoyed her time here but felt her home town calling and you can only stave off home sickness for so long! She is sorry to go but says she'll be visiting. Please meet our new CAs by going to Meet the Team.

Dr Rob Cormack also left us at the end of January to return to Canada. He was offered the opportunity of going into practice with an old college friend. We'll be sorry to see him go and wish him the very best for the future. Dr Neil is taking over Dr Rob's patients at Norwich and Holt. If you have been seeing Dr Rob and have any questions regarding your care, then please let us know. Dr Neil will be only too happy to discuss any concerns with you before proceeding.

Hours Change at Holt

Please note the change of hours at Holt. The most notable change is that the centre is open on Monday afternoons now and closed on Tuesday afternoons. We hope that these changes will still be suitable for you.

August 2008

Congratulations!

Dr Rob has recently completed the London to Paris Cycle race - 150 miles in 3 days. He says that now he's got that under his belt, he's looking forward to the next challenge! What will that be we wonder?. A very well done to Dr Rob. His efforts raised £2000 in aid of Breast Cancer Research.
